At the end of the workshop, there are two laboratory tour to visit the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory (PAL) and the Institute of Basic Science (IBS). Please let us know when you register if you are interested in attending the laboratory tours.
1. Pohang Accelerator Laboratory (PAL) Tour
Date: Thursday, October 26, 2023
- Time: 3:00 PM ~ 6:00 PM (after Excursion)
- Location: Pohang city (It takes 55 min from Excursion place and 50 min to Venue hotel by bus)

The Pohang Light Source (PLS), the only third-generation light source in Korea and the fifth one in the world, has been playing its role faithfully as the heart of Korean high-tech science since December 1994.
2. Institute for Basic Science (IBS) Tour
Date: Friday, October 27, 2023
Time: 1:00 PM ~ 2:30 PM
- Location: Daejeon city (It takes about 3 hours 30 min from Venue hotel)

Korean heavy-ion accelerator, RAON is a world-class heavy-ion accelerator that will produce highly rare isotopes. It will consist of ion generators, accelerators, rare isotopes producing devices and various experimental apparatus.
