Description
This paper reports on the “Intercomparison” conducted from SATIF-3 through SATIF-16 (excluding SATIF-11).
Unlike “benchmarks,” which are compared with experimental data, “intercomparisons” aim to compare differences among computational codes using identical calculation conditions (such as source, material composition, and conversion factors for dose, etc.). Two types of intercomparison initiatives were conducted within SATIF. Both were “collaborative efforts by SATIF participants” in which participants submitted results obtained using their respective codes in response to “proposed challenges” issued by the organizing committee, and the results of the inter-code comparisons were reported at SATIF.
This presentation will introduce the details of these two types of intercomparisons and the final results obtained.
