Description

Major features of the most recent version of the MARS code as well as ongoing developments are described. The latter include the following: (i) a new geometry module based on SDF (Signed Distance Field) surface representation; (ii) transitioning from an outdated representation of
output data; (iii) refactoring of the code and removal of obsolete Fortran features; (iv) adaptation to execution in a distributed computing environment. Applications of the code to major projects at Fermilab−DUNE/LBNF, PIP-II, and Mu2E−are described as well.

Topics T2. Code status, development and model converters
